Therefore, it is critical to replace this part if it is no longer working, in order to continue operating your equipment. You can find the governor plate near the throttle linkage assembly in your equipment engine. Depending on your model, you may need to remove the air filter housing to access the plate. Disconnect the throttle linkage from the governor plate and remove the faulty governor plate. Place the new one in position, secure it with the appropriate fasteners, and reverse-assemble the rest of the engine components to complete your repair.
