25326468101 Kenmore Freezer - Instructions

As per instructions.removed inside shelves.removed back cover over coil let thaw.removed old thermostat &clips as per instructions.replaced with new.

Removed shelves ,removed panel on interior back wall with Philips screwdriver ,unplugged wire terminals slid thermostat off coil ,then reversed process to complete installation.

after checking defrost sensor and heater which checked out to be good replaced control board took about 10 minutes freezer working fine

Both end caps were missing on the door side bottom metal shelf. succesfully installed no tools needed

Removed existing part, tested it, found it to be defective. OrderEd a new one and replaced the existing one.

After removing the key from its shipping package I pushed it into the freezer locking slot and turned it to lock and unlock the lid and then removed it. I had no problems with this fix. Remove shelves. Unplug unit. Unscrew back panel. Remove wire harness. Remove old fan. Insert new fan. Screw it in. Reattach wires harness. Plug unit in and make sure fan is on.
Reattach back panel. Put shelves back in.

Easy took out the back panel unclipped the harness to temp control popped it out and replaced.not a problem.

removed freezer door and installed the new one. This was a pretty easy thing to do, although putting the old handle on the new door was a challenge. Had to remove all screws on rear back cover of freezer inside, unplugged refridgerator, uncliped thermostat, unpluged thermostat. Replaced thermostat with new one in the same location, and let defrost fulley. Reassembled, pluged in, and tested. All was good. Removed the back panel in freezer compartment with the nut-driver. Then I cut off old thermostat connections, and spliced in new thermostat connections (repairman had already replaced defrost timer, and said not to trust connectors included on wires-they failed often). I used the tool at Partselect that in theory allows diagnostic of the problem to be repaired. The result was that more tan 90% of the time with the introduced symptoms it had to be the thermostat. In my case there might be a different problem.

I removed the shelves in the freezer, took out the five 1/4" screws and lifted off the cover. It was a simple matter of using a blow drier to remove all the ice, then unplugging the two wires and unclipping the thermostat from the upper cooling tube. Then clipped the new one on and reconnecting the two wires.

Works great!!!

Lost all the food. Cleaned out the insides. read some Q and A on this freezer online. Took apart the inside panels...found the schematic on the back corner of the freezer. Eliminated the themostat and fan as the problem. Located online the manual as my wife lost the original paperwork. Gambled the control unit was the problem. Ordered it. ... Read more It arrived ontime. Installed it. Freezer ran. Put the freezer back together. The thermometer I bought a long time ago said it was at 30 degrees below zero. I adjusted it up to 20 below and it has been running great. Thank You.
