25326202101 Kenmore Freezer - Instructions

Removed all of the screws around the door and then removed the old gasket and fitted new gasket into place and replaced the screws

Removed old cold temperature control; tested with ohm meter and determined that the control was bad; ordered new cold control from PartSelect.com. Installed new cold temperature control with no problems; freezer is now running like new again!

Opened mailer and bag and place the drain plug into the drain. fit perfectly. In fact it is better than the one lost since the original needed a screwdriver or tool to remove the plug. This one has a flang or finger turner on it so that it can be removed. Also, does not interfere with items in bottom of freezer.

removed freezer door and installed the new one. This was a pretty easy thing to do, although putting the old handle on the new door was a challenge. Put the new temperature control unit in plugged freezer back in and immediately turned on. Very simple repair. Saved a lot of money not having to purchase new or call a repair shop.

Used needle nosed pliers to twist and pull out remainder of broken parts (regular pliers would work, fingers might). Used fingers to insert replacements. So, simple, so glad I did it!

I had to loosen the screw holding the mounting block and increase the hole size to fit the screw on refrigerator

Needed to remove both left and right broken (plastic) supports and reinsert the new parts. Not hard at all...worked like a charm!

Loosened the screws all around the door, took out old gasket. Washed with bleach solution to remove mildew, wiped. Pushed new gasket into groove, tightened screws.

Took out top hinge bolts. Lifted door off. Set door on floor and removed all the screws holding gasket on. Replaced with new gasket after warming gasket with a hair dryer. Piece of cake, saved alot of money doing it myself! Thanx so much. David jones.

When the temp control is delivered unplug the power cord and proceed to repace the temp control, using care not to crimp the temp sensor bulb tubing. A #1 phillips screwdriver will release the control housing and temp sensor clamp assy. When complete set control to mid range and plug appliance into wall outlet. Use thermometer to set desired temp.
