its best to use power screw driver lot of screws .took out all screws took off door took out side to remove ice from door. just used water to melt ice. took off old gasket and put on new gasket. put door in place and started screws in four coners do not tighten screws at this point.put in rest of screws. work arondclock wise making sure g ... Read more asket is seated while tighing screws. check gasket for flatness you may have to use hair dryer on gasket to make it flat.

Simply unscrew panel but do not remove it. Remove old gasket. Fit new gasket between panel and door. Fasten screws and no more leaks and better temperature contol. We ordered the part, which was a key, tied it on the freezer door handle, locked the door and voila, the problem was fixed. (We still have the children. :-)

Had to drag the full freezer out from the wall to expose the name plate, got the Model # and S/N and found the key on the partselect website in minutes. It was cheap so I got two. Other than FEDEX not knowing my address correctly, when I finally got the key it worked fine. Not a problem anymore.

My issue was water leaking from the door. I thought it was the gasket, so I removed the gasket and the entire panel off of the door. There was water behind it that had soaked the cardboard seal, so I left that front part off for over a week to let it dry. We determined between us and our two toddlers that perhaps the door hadn't been prop ... Read more erly closed enough on a number of occasions, so before I bought a $100 gasket, I'd try making sure the door was shut with tape, turning the freezer on and seeing what happened. There was no water after a few days, so on another user's suggestion I purchased the $15 key and twist tied it to the freezer door. Now I am locking the door after use so we won't have leaking water any longer.

Removed old gasket, then installed new gasket. Make sure to allow new gasket to set out for a few days prior to installing to get all wrinkles out, use a heat gun after installing to make gasket shape to freezer door.

removed door and took all the screws out of the inside door rack. removed old door seal . replaced door seal and made sure that the seal fit around and door rack fit into the groove then replaced all screws and tightened choosing random sections to tighten .replaced the door plugged back in wires that I removed and replaced door hinge scr ... Opened mailer and bag and place the drain plug into the drain. fit perfectly. In fact it is better than the one lost since the original needed a screwdriver or tool to remove the plug. This one has a flang or finger turner on it so that it can be removed. Also, does not interfere with items in bottom of freezer.

After removing the key from its shipping package I pushed it into the freezer locking slot and turned it to lock and unlock the lid and then removed it. I had no problems with this fix. Read more in the box the new gasket came in --- Took new freezer door gasket and installed it neatly around the door by tucking back part of door gasket between door panel and door --- once all was in place started tightening all screws starting at bottom holding bottom gasket material tight with other hand --- then working counter clock wise till done !!! there you go it was very easy and turned out great !!! Loosen screws, removed old gasket seal, replace with new gasket (nice to use 2 sets of hands) and re screwed. Used hairdryer to heat up and fluff out a spot that wasnt seal all the way. Pretty simplementation to do.
