Job was not as bad as I had thought it would be. This sites instant repairman was a really big help ! I did not take the back off, instead I just put machine on its back and changed out the pump from the bottom. Worked out great and was faster.

unclipped old pump, removed hoses then reverse to replace pump

Tipped washer for access to pump. Disconnect hoses. Snap spring clips off of pump. Remove pump from motor shaft. Scotch-Brite shaft, push new pump onto shaft. Reconnect hoses. And your done

It was really simple. All I had to do was take the outside body off of the washer & undo the clamps & take the old water pump off & put the new one on & put the clamps back on & put the body back on. It was easy & a whole lot cheaper than buying a new washer. Thanks for being there.

Got the part in two days! After watching the installation video, i figured i could take the pump off without removing the complete washer panel. Tipped washer on to back and there was the old pump staring at me. Disconnected the two hose clamps with pliers (easy). Hardest part was removing old pump due to crud and rust. Removed pump clamp ... Read more s and forced it off with end of screwdriver alternating both sides. This is why the video shows panel removal. Would have been much easier i think! I used fine sandpaper to get the shaft cleaned up and put a few drops of liquid hand soap into opening of new pump. Lined up the pumped with shaft and it slid right on. Reattached hoses and pump clamps and done!! NO more leak!! Really easy repair - about 15 minutes total.

Removed the two clips holding the pump to the motor, Lift pump off motor and twist pump to allow easy access to hose clamps. Slide clamps off of pump housing, remove hoses and reverse the process just described.

I received the water pump. (really quick by the way)
I propped the front of the washer up, removed the old pump and installed the new pump. Ran and test. Piece of cake. I wish I had a better story. Sorry.

It only took using common sense.

I removed the washing machine away from the wall. Put a pillow on the floor and set the machine on its back. I removed the clamps that hold the hose with the pliers and then pump came right off. Replaced with the new one and thats all. I spend exactly 2 minutes doing this fix. My wife still thinks I am a heroe :)

firts i tilt machine over removed water hoses and released water pump lock clips and pulled out. to replaced its reverse process

It was as simple as undoing 2 clamps and removing 2 hoses then just perform that in reverse to put the part back on. And in 10 mins i was using the washing machine.

First I located the leak and removed what was lated identified as the water pump. The pump was secured to a motor by two clamps. Attachted to the water pump were two water hoses. I am more than happy to relate this...my 15 month old Whirlpool washer was having a slow leak. Initially, I did not suspect it was the water pump because the appliance was fairly new. When I flipped the washer over, I saw clearly it was comming from the water pump. This pump comes right off after you snap off two clips and loosen two hose ... Read more clamps. Takes all of 2 minutes! I took the part off and looked for a part number. Then I punched in the part number on my internet and low and behold parts select was one of the links that came up. I just cliqued my way through the order and FEDEXed the part. It came the NEXT BUSINESS DAY! I had it snapped back on and that took another 2 minutes. Don't pay anyone to do this, it's a shame...it's sooooo easy and Partsselect will ship you the part next day. This repair cost me 67 dollars (34 for the part and shipping). Could have easily been 150.00 by a repair man. EASY JOB...NO DOUBT ABOUT IT

This is the same part that is on many Maytag washers. I cannot believe it leaked so soon. I spent 45 minutes or better on the phone with Maytag/Roper. Went through at least 5 people (as I was disconnected once), transfered to someone else mid sentence because I bought it at Lowes. I mean as soon as I said Lowes it was like, beep done. ... Read more Oh and by the way after all that they still could not find the part I was looking for let alone give me a price. I was looking on the internet while on the phone and found this place. The prints/drawings are awesome and my part came in about 3 days standard shipping. I have book marked this site and will go nowhere else. The repair took about 5 minutes, poped off the old part and on with the new. I only used pliers to disconnect the water so I could move the washer out.
