watched a video that showed how to repair that you had on your web site. also read some of the remarks that other people left on site, one was super easy. just laid washer on its back, unhooked both water lines from pump. unhooked both metal clips holding pump and pulled off. replaced new pump in reverse order. didn't have to go thru all ... tilted the unit on it's back. removed clamps and hoses from pump. used screwdriver and pried off 2 hold-down clamps. removed old pump. placed new pump onto shaft. installed hold -down straps. re-installed 2 hoses. stood washer upright, releveled and turned on.

Kayla tilted the washer backwards so I could get access to the pump from below. all I had to remove was two clips then slid the old pump off the shaft and the new one on-clip it in place.Then clamp the hoses on the new ports and we were done in about ten minutes.This made me feel good in three ways... I pulled out the washer, laid it on it's back, pulled off the two hoses using pliers for the clamps, pulled back two clips, pulled off the pump from the shaft, put the new pump on the shaft, and did the reverse of the above. After unplugging power and disconnecting water drain hose, I pulled the washer out aprox four feet from the wall and leaned it back against the wall. I then used a lamp at the end of an ext cord to light up below the washer where the water pump was attached and it was easy to remove and replace! I carefully replaced the washer in its orig ... This was very easy. I just pushed the retaining clips off of the pump body (one top side, and one on the bottom) with my fingers. Then I used a pair of channel lock pliers to compress and relocate the spring clamps down the two hoses away from the pump body to remove their clamping action. This process took about five minutes and was super easy.

My friend unplugged washer turned off water to it, tilted machine back took off old, put on new. It took him about 5 minutes. Washer is working fine now, no more water leaks!

I noticed a leak on the floor. I check the hoses for tightness on the back of the washer and the hoses going to the facets and drain. After disconnecting the hoses going to the washer, facet and drain, I then flip the washer on it's back and examined the underside for wetness. All the underside hoses appeared to be not leaking. I then ... Read more disconnected the two hoses going to the pump with channel-locks, and I disconnect the two clips holding the pump with just my hand and removed the water pump. I then poured water into the hoses' opening on the water pump itself, and I discovered a slow leak occurring from the shaft area on the water pump. I searched PartSelect and luckily found a water pump that matched. I then installed the new water pump (after receiving it a few days later) in reversed procedures of disconnecting the old water pump. I tested the washer by adding a little bit of water into the washer then switch the dial to spin cycle in order to empty the water inside the washer--no leaks occurred and I was extremely happy.

First unplug washer and turn water off (both hot and cold) You only need to pull washer out away from wall about 1 1/2 feet. Take a putty knife and slide under the front corner of the control panel ( both sides one at a time) lift up corner as you slide putty knife under the corner. After both sides are released on the control panel sl ... Read more ide control panel forward( about an inch) to release rear of panel and flip panel over the top. Unplug the lid safety switch then with a screw driver unsnap the cabinet straps one on both sides that were under the control panel. Put screw driver into the spring strap end closest to you and push screw driver back which will release the straps( one on each side). Next tilt the cabinet toward from the back( about 6 ") and lift up about 2 " the cabinet can now be removed. Undue the two hoses on the water pump that is located at the bottom of the washer in the front ( make sure you catch the water from the hoses in a small pan). Undue the two spring clips that hold the pump on. Pull pump straight out (about 1 ") discard old pump and install new one in reverse order. When reinstalling the cabinet there are two stubs on the bottom bracket on the washer that have to put into the slots in the lower front corners of the cabinet ( the hardest part of the whole project is putting the cabinet back on, the trick is what I described above with the slots in the lower front corners. Good luck it very easy to do.

Of course I tried to determine where the leak was from. There wasn't a solid flow of water and was confined to the front. Pulled the washer out and laid it down. Noticed that a metal clip had a little corrosion on it and followed it back to the water pump seal. Removed two hoses and unclipped the pump. That's it. No screws or nuts. Looks ... I watched the instructional video on how to take apart and how to take washer a part and how to install the direct drive water pump. It was very easy to do. also the delivery was very fast. I will be using the site to fix other appiances that I have that is sitting around broken. Thanks for your speedy service and customer service.

Unfortunately my washer cabinet did not come off as in the video so I had to do repair from underneath. The rest of the repair worked exactly like the video showed. I had a couple of small, sturdy wood boxes about 9" high which I used to brace the washer after tipping it backwards a bit (and unplugging it too). My wife acted as a spott ... The only two things that required the hook tool and mirror were: 1) Working from the bottom my hands were at an awkward angle so I couldn't pop the retainer clips off the pump, but a hook tool (like a screwdriver with a hooked end) popped them off easily, and 2) The other issue was once the new pump was in place I could not locate the slot for the top retainer clip until I could look at it with the telescoping handle mirror, and then I was able to put the clip in by feel. Extremely easy repair, especially with the guidance from the video. Thanks for video help! WH
