I removed the oven door and racks. After turning off the power I raised the old element up to be able to access the screws. I undid the two that connected the element to the back of the oven. PULL RANGE OUT FROM WALL & ALSO REMOVED OVEN DOOR BY SLIDING UP. WORKING FROM INSIDE OVEN & ALSO BEHIND I REPLACED PART . ALWAYS " UNPLUG " RANGE BEFORE YOU START.

removed the end caps from the stove panel, unscrewed the back, unscrewed the old switch, CAREFULLY noting which wire went to which terminal, removed the wires.
Reversed the process. took a little longer because I felt compelled to do a thorough cleaning while I was there.

Hi, First unplug appliance ,remove the oven door by pulling it up from the hinges, giving room to work deep inside , remove the two screws that hold the element in place. then pull the element out carefully not to stress the wires and replace the element . Note after all is done test with an oven thermometor :)

A friend had stopped by and insisted on replacing the heating element on my 32 year old range. It took him all of 45 minutes to replace it, and now it works like a charm.

Read more rchased the broil element and received it within approximately 4 days. It took just a little more time to replace because there was a brace that was attached to the upper oven that helped to hold it in place. Once the wires were attached with the screws it worked very quickly. It's nice to have my oven back in use again!

remove 2 screws pull out, and had a little trouble with the 2 power lines(breaker turned off), as they were around 60 years old, used a nut driver, and plyers to hold leads, and reversed to install. went well considering the age of the oven. tested, broiler works well,(let it heat up for appx 2-3 min to burn off dirt, etc)

1. Cut power off. 2. Remove old element, make sure you do not lose the screws, pull the connecting posts out and we used strings on posts so they could not get lost in the wall. 3. We then replaced the new element with little of no problems, it took approximately 30-45 minutes for the whole process.

For the top element, there are four screws holding it in place, I found it was easier to access these two screws leaning the range backward at a slight angle. Take special care again not to let the wires drop down into the insulation. The connectors to the old element will likely need some extra effort to remove. The reconnection to the new elements should be ok. Make sure all screws go back in that were removed. The new elements will be amazing, and baking and broiling will be like new again.

Turned power back on and tested the oven for any problems. Stove is working great.

remove screws attaching burner plate to back of oven, pull out element, undo wiring to old burner by unscrewing 2 screws, remove old burner, reverse process to put new burner in

Unplugged stove, removed front door, carefully removed two screws holding the cover plate of the element. Gently pulled the element out about 3-4 inches removed the two screw attaching the electrical wires to the element , making sure the wires did not pull back into the stove. Carefully pushed the wires and element back into place making sure the insulation was also in place. Re-attached the cover plate with the two screws I had removed. Plugged the stove back in and tested the element. Replaced the front door .... job complete!
