Followed directions that came with the filter. Did remove the top shelf for easier access. Very simple and quick.

I looked at the picture I took. Used needle nose pliers and inserted one end. Unless the lady of the house is very strong, this should be handled by a man, because of the rigid spring. I had previously watched a YouTube video (do this first!!) on a similar Kenmore model so I knew what to look out for: (1) turned off power, (2) took thin putty knife to slip under outer lip of switch (most screwdrivers are too thick), (3) wiggled switch at front end to release the tab, (4) unplugged from the socket, (5) plugged in new sw ... Replaced Ice maker unit

Unplugged fridge, shut off water supply disconnected water supply from fridge. Remove screws that hold lower cover on back of fridge, removed screws holding valve assembly to fridge. Expensive to have repair man come out and find out that I’ve been mailed wrong spring again. My icemaker is on the left hand side this is the side of refrigerator- I need the spring for left side with the ice maker. Twice they have mailed me the Wrong spring that goes on the right hand side I have tried to explain this to the person that ... Read more waits on me. Do I have to pay for another spring and mail this one back ?i have mailed one back and postage is getting expensive.

This repair is pretty straight forward. Just remove the 3 screws that hold the ice maker and bin assembly in, unplug the wire harness connector, then remove it from the refrigerator door. Once removed you simply need to remove 3 more screws that hold the ice maker to the auger/bin frame, remove the temp sensor, and a couple pieces of ta ... Read more pe. Re-assemble the new ice maker in reverse order and you are all set. I think part of the issue I was having was due to mineral buildup in the tray as well so it had a hard time cracking and removing the ice. Not sure why it was overfilling, maybe the sensor was broken or had buildup on it as well. This solved all the problems I was seeing and now it makes great ice that doesn't stick together and form a bridge in the bin.

Removed two screws from door and three locking brackets with a small common screw driver. Raised the bracket, slide in the spring, held down the bracket, installed screws and plastic covers. Less than 2 minutes. Easy application no problem with the new spring or ,mullion..

I took a very thin bladed screwdriver and took the old part out -carefully.
The new part fit in quite easily.

Replace with new switch. this is the third switch i have replaced in 10 years. the only part, besides a light bulb, that has gone bad. obviously this is a problem with this model for Kenmore, or just poor switch design.

Removed mullion strip with Phillips screwdriver replaced spring reinstalled the mullion strip all in about 15 minutes.

Followed instructions online

Swapped old one with new one. New one had extra plug not needed.
