1808 - Instructions

This is erins dad. She just bought her first home and it was missing the basket. I went online found your company and ordered.

I took the lower cover pannel screws out of the dish washer to view the pump assy. Then remove the solinoid bracket which covered the Drain Valve Seal. The hardest part was removing the star washer in front of the seal. That is where I had to use the pliers to remove it. Then I had to straighten
the washer out so I could reuse it. Pu ... Read more lled old Seal out and replaced with new and reassembled. Test ran a cycle and wasn't leaking any more. Easy fix!

Partition between Freezer and Fridge was running very hot. (Warm is normal). Oiling fan did not work. The only problems encountered in the replacement were getting fan out and in through coolant lines, cut plug off to accomodate generic fan wiring, getting the screws back in without cooking your hand on a hot compressor. Ordered new fan motor on line took out old motor and replaced with new one

removed lower back cover. diconnected fan ass'y electrical connection, removed fan housing (3 screws). removed fan motor from housing. cut old connector from fan and installed on new fan with wire nuts included. re-installed new fan to housing and re-installed housing to frame.

I removed the nuts that held the motor mount, then removed fan blade, cut the wires, and slid the motor pass the mounts and the coil shroud, Installed motor in reverse order. worked out ok.

unplug the refrigator, remove everything from
frezer compartment. remove ice maker three screws and un plug. remove rear panel 4 screws
remove motor bracket from rear panel 4 screws
unplug motor . replace motor and reasemble in
reverse order. the new motor is very quiet.

The instruction sheet supplied with the new motor described the steps to take very good. Replaced the rubber grommets for the three motor mounts also. A flashlight or light source was needed or was very helpful.

Pulled out the refrigerator and removed the two panels from the rear of the refrigerator. Removed the fan held in by four screws and unplugged the connector. Soldered on the original connector, installed the fan to the motor and re-installed the unit into the refrigerator. Then blew out and vaccumed the condenser coils.

Well disassembly was good - removed the spring cam assembly on the dump valve cam, then two screws of the solenoid to remove the solenoid, beyond that the repair became a little tough since the seal / shaft retainer wasdifficult to remove. The shaft has a grove which the retainer clip is hard to remove from, and once removed - it deform ... Read more ed, so i installed the seal using a nut driver as a seal press to evenly press it into place. then had to work the retainer with a small set of pliers to reshape it, then reaasembled in place which is when i realized why it was hard to get off due to the shaft grove, which as well as holds the seal it also aligns the shaft latteraly in the pump housing, but after putting it all together and firing up the dishwasher, no leaks and it was an hour laying on my side which i feel was worth it, thx jon

Removed rear cover to see non-operating fan - removed three mounting screws on the motor that were a challenge to access. Swapped fan from old motor onto new motor - one threaded nut on the motor shaft. Spliced new fan wires into fan wires of the wiring harness and mounted with three self-tapping screws supplied with new fan motor. Repl ... Read more aced rear cover and plugged it in! took the moter off and the impellar off replaced the impeller .back and turn the washer back on but it still wouldnt .wash .the moter wouldnt turn .so had the moter tested and it was the moter . found out how and what to look for on you tube .it was a big help in how to fix your washer .typed in model and what kind portable .it was easy . ... I pulled the old basket out with my right hand and inserted the new basket with my left hand! HA! Maybe 5 seconds!
