When pulled, the starter rope engages starter spring causing the engine turn fast enough for the ignition module to generate a spark to ignite the fuel in the cylinder. This part is made of nylon rope and is sold individually. To install the rope you will need a screwdriver and socket wrench. Turn the starter spring to build tension and recoil the rope inside.
