This burner bowl or drip pan is found beneath the heating element on your cooktop or range. This part measures 8 inches in diameter, and should not be confused with the smaller pan, which measures 6 inches in diameter. The burner bowl collects spills that may build up when cooking on your range. If your old 8-inch burner bowl is cracked, broken, or missing, this is the part that can replace it.

Wind the rope around the new spool and tie a knot to secure it in place. Place the new spool and rope inside the starter mechanism and feed the end of the rope out of the hole in the housing. Reattach the starter cover to complete the repair.
