First I removed the screw that held it in place with a socket. The agitator became loose and easy to remove at this time so I lifted it from the washing machine. First I removed upper front grill by removing two Philips head screws on top and pulling off. This exposed the Philips head screw which holds control panel in place. Read more e help of a bladed screwdriver, I pushed new fuse into holder, then replaced panel, screw and grill. This took less than 15 minutes even as one of the wires on control panel pulled out of connection and took some time to locate where to reconnect, otherwise was an easy fix

Make sure to release the springs and pulleys before you try to tackle the bolts that hold the motor base to the bottom of the washer. Mine were a bit rusty and took some force to break loose. took washer into the garage, removed front cover & disconnected the wiring. Then i removed the motor assembly. Piece of cake to finish job.

unplugged unit,removed liquid cup,removed nut holding agitator,removed agitator installed new one installed nut tightened and tested operation very easy job!

I mistakenly thought I had to remove the microwave to get to the back, not so. I would have had access to what I needed to unscrew; but I have to admit the hassle of taking it down and putting it back equals having to work on it attached to the shelf-your call on how you do this. (While you have the vent removed you might want to clean the vent and the exposed filter.) carefully lift and pull out control panel. I unplugged a piece as the wires were tied tight. It will not completely detach, so carefully tip it back from exposed insides. The fuse is not clear but white with silver ends so look in upper right for it. I popped it out and replaced it. Replugged the wired part to cover and carefully fit tabs in and slide down to secre. Replace screw, replace vent piece and secure screws on top of microwave. I plugged it in to test before putting it back above my stove.

Removed 4 small star head screws from back of microwave, lifted body off, removed blown fuse and replaced with new one (found where cord enters). This model is stainless inside and out and I like it a lot. It is also sold by Daewoo and a few other manufacturers.

pulled the detergent cup off, pulled the cap out of the upper part of agitator, removed bolt and pulled assembly out. then reversed the process with the new assembly.

Installation of my new agitator was a cinch. After removing the top softener dispenser and bolt cover, I used a socket wrench and extension where I then removed the 7/16ths bolt that holds the agitator on. The new agitator came within 5 calendar days of ordering, it was sent from near my house.
I looked at the directions sent, and saw that it was very easy.
First I took off the fabric softener dispenser. Then I discovered I needed a socket wrench to take off the bolt holding the agitator on to the driveshaft. So I went and bou ... Read more ght a wrench, extension, and socket.
Then I came back and removed the bolt, installed the new agitator, and washed a load of clothes, within 45 minutes.
It worked fine.
It was going to cost me over $150 to have Sears fix it and it would not have been until the following Thursday Sears Applicance Repair could come.
So I spent about $80 for the new agitator from Parts Select , $30 for the socket wrench, which I can reuse. So I saved $40 and a lot of aggravation.
And I got to wash clothes quicker. With 4 school kids we wash a lot of clothes which was what broke the agitator in the first place.
I would recommend Parts Select any time.

Access is via RT. SIDE Panel as you face microwave. There are three screws on the bottom right edge to loosen. After that the side panel slips down and off. the fuse is located in the rear near where the power cord comes in. It is the white ceramic tube 1/4" in dia. and 1-1/2" long. removed nut in center (take top piece off and look down), lifted old agitator assembly off, followed directions to assemble new agitator, replaced with new "swirl" designed agitator assembly, replaced & tightened nut with nut driver, and although my old model washer was not listed as "compatible," everything fit and it seems to be working ... Removed the single screw securing the agitator to the drive shaft. Removed agitator assy. Installed new assy. Reinstalled securing screw.

I just removed the old agitator and replaced it with the new one. Took less then 10 minutes. Took one bolt out pulled the old agitator out put the new agitator in and replaced the bolt. So easy anyone could do it. Much cheaper then buying a new washer.
