Replace ice/water filter
  • William from Ooltewah, TN
  • Really Easy
  • Less than 15 mins
I ordered the filter from Parts Select on 9/2/13 and it was delivered to my house on 9/5/13. You can't beat that for quick service. So then I open door to refrigrator and push the button on the lower right of the filter compartment, which is at eye level. Remove old filter. Take the caps off the terminals of the new filter and insert i nto compartment where the old filter was. Write the date of the filter change on the label that comes with the filter and affix to the new filter face. The filter should last six months.

Push the button on the right side of the ice maker filter compartment which releases the old filter. Just pull old filter out and slide the new filter all the way in. Be sure and mark on the new filter the date that will be time to change the filter again. I ordered the filter on one day and received the fil ter in the mail the next day and I had not paid extra for overnight shipping.

Left hinge broke in pieces
  • Marilyn from Yonkers, NY
  • Really Easy
  • 15 - 30 mins
  • Wrench (Adjustable)
First I read other comments here; then checked youtube.com to see if there was a video - there was! Easily removed the stove door and the storage drawer to access the spring. Removed the spring and used screwdriver to remove 2 of 3 screws - third had a nut on back which required removal of the decorative panel next to the door. After appl ying Liquid Wrench, was able to use vise-grip to remove last bolt. Inserted new hinge, attached the spring to hinge and stove frame then inserted the 3 screws. Reattached the decorative panel and was done. Repklaced a hinge, not a stove!!!
