This is a genuine OEM part. The (right hand) door spring is made of metal, and is designed for use with many walk behind lawn mowers. This item is fitted onto the right side of the rear discharge door and the mower deck. The spring helps to secure the door in either the shut position, or it holds the door snug to the grass bag. This component is sold individually. A screwdriver may be helpful in the repair.
