1106207705 Kenmore Dryer - Instructions

My husband took the plastic cover off and took out old bulb and screwed in the new one. Then put the cover back on.

When I ordered the part, I viewed the installation video. That was a key step for me. It told me how to identify the correct part (there are multiple latch pieces in the repair kit, and one of them matches the type of door for the dryer), and how to disassemble the door to get the part installed. Googled dryer won't start! From information on the Parts Select website, I determined it was possibly the dryer door switch. Checked the dryer to confirm status of door switch and found it broken! Used information from Parts select website to remove two screws from vent filter, used screwdriver to pop the top of dryer at each front corner, removed two long screws from the old switch and replaced the broken actuator on the switch with the new actuator received from Parts Select. Note: It was easier to remove old switch with the wires removed from terminals (just pull off), replacing the wires after securing the switch and actuator back in place. Piece of cake, wife happy, received her king of the roost reward :>)) This is also a good time to clean the lint filter area and the hoses to prevent one of those 16,000 annual dryer fires!!!

This was a classic easy repair and I am sure saved us bundles on a service call.

Reviewed the video showing how to remove the bad-order part and install the new part. No problem. Installing the new part was exactly what was shown in the video on the web page.

I googled the problem, then came across a site where somebody had experienced the same problem, and they changed the door catches to resolve it. Repair was straight forward with only two screws to undo. Popped the two sides in and I was done. What was amazing was the lowest cost on parts and the timely delivery.

I pulled the old latch out of the catch and installed a new one. It just popped into place. The job could not have been easier.

Very easy to repair remove top of dryer and took out to screws and put switch back in place replaced screws and put top back on. Easy!!

I removed the old door catch by using a screwdriver to pry it out, then I popped the new door catch in its place and it snapped right in. It took less than 5 minutes to do the whole job.

same as I described above. However i was amazed when the part showed up the very next day...I was expecting maybe 3 or so days later. I wiil absolutely use PartSelect in the future.
