removed the shield and removed the old tube. Replaced with the new tube and replaced the shield. The only place I could locate this tube was through the internet. This Co. had as good a price including shipping that I found.

First removed 2 screws on lint remover vent. Used a screw driver to force up top of dryer from out front. These will require pressure to pop the top off the dryer. Once the top was up I could reach the actuator and remove the 2 screws holding it. Once removed just replaced with new actuator and bam, done. Snapped top of dryer back on a ... our son was able to diagnosis and order the part and very pleased with quite response. Dryer now working fine.

We got the part so fast we were both surprised. My husband installed the part by just seeing how the old one came off. It was simple and fairly quick. Except that his hands are so big they had a hard time fitting in to where the part needed to go. Just opened the top of the dryer, took the old part out and put the new one in.

Followed previous comments and took 5 minutes to replace. Be careful to hold spring and switch together because easy to separate and drop. Two screws to remove for switch, two to remove for lint trap, pop the lid up and switch / spring is easy to access.

Order replacement lid switch, installed it, good to go. The installation video and instructions with the replacement part were very helpful.

Read more I removed the two front console screws and pulled slightly forward and lifted console up and tilted it back where it was out of the way. next I was able to lift cabinet up from the back and remove it from the frame and lay cabinet on the floor on top of a rug I had to protect the finish on cabinet . Now I had access to the lid switch and simply removed the two screws in the cabinet and the old switch. I connected the two wire connections to the new switch (no)normally open connection, used same actuator the instructions say to do this because the one that comes with the new switch won't fit so use the old one. on my washer there's a cover that fits under this switch and It took me a little longer to get the screws to line up so they fit through the switch and into the cover but It worked fine. Now all I had to do was reinstall the cabinet just like Steve did on the video my only problem with this was seeing where the tabs in the frame were located so that the slots in the cabinet would fit over top of frame tabs I used a flash light in one hand and lowered the cabinet down I held the light on the frame tabs and the slots in cabinet fit right in then lowered cabinet to the rear frame tabs where i just had to push slightly on the sides of cabinet and it fit right in.Next i pushed the back panel in place and on the top of washer just like in video reinstalled both spring clip clamps and the console and reinstalled the two screws. I plugged in the washer put drain hose back in drain pushed washer back in place turned it on working great now ! Thank You so much for your help Dan.

The hardest part was taking out original light bulb because screws on shield where hard to unscrew after all this years . The old bulb vent out leaving neck in socket. It took narrow electrical pliers to get neck out .The generic appliance bulb did not fit and had aluminum neck ,not recommended for brass sockets in ovens.Putting new ligh ... took part top of washer saw switch replaced it not to difficult it is always easier when you have new one to look at

same as I described above. However i was amazed when the part showed up the very next day...I was expecting maybe 3 or so days later. I wiil absolutely use PartSelect in the future.

Googled dryer won't start! From information on the Parts Select website, I determined it was possibly the dryer door switch. Checked the dryer to confirm status of door switch and found it broken! Used information from Parts select website to remove two screws from vent filter, used screwdriver to pop the top of dryer at each front corner, removed two long screws from the old switch and replaced the broken actuator on the switch with the new actuator received from Parts Select. Note: It was easier to remove old switch with the wires removed from terminals (just pull off), replacing the wires after securing the switch and actuator back in place. Piece of cake, wife happy, received her king of the roost reward :>)) This is also a good time to clean the lint filter area and the hoses to prevent one of those 16,000 annual dryer fires!!!

Loosened two screws in back top of drier and pulled forward and up to hinge top of drier and allow access to door switch.Took out broken actuator spring and replaced with new one,snapped lid back in place and put screws back in hinges and job was done.

Very easy to repair remove top of dryer and took out to screws and put switch back in place replaced screws and put top back on. Easy!!
