Removed screws under counter holding washer in place. Pulled washer out until I could access the back. Turned water supply off (in my case faucet under the sink) Turned power off at breaker.

Turned water on to ensure no leaks and pushed washer back under counter. Turned power back on and checked machine operation. Replaced the screws under the counter to keep machine in place. This is very easy. In my area a plumber would charge $75 to do this.

i took off the kick plate and found the water valve. its the piece that water comes to from under the sink to connect to the dishwaser. it has a plug with 2 wires. i turned off the water supply, disconnected the wires(probably should have flipped the breaker but didnt) took out the 5/16 mounting screws, had to use a little end wrench on 1 ... Read more because it was behind the water line and a nut driver on the other. i put some thread gook on the connection and put the new one in the way it was and it works great. i am writing this because thats where i got the info to diagnose in the first place and saved me $$$!

Simply plugged in hew burner. No probkems.

To replace the light bulb, I removed the screw and the cover, unscrewed the old bulb, replaced with the new bulb and replaced the cover, securing it with the small screw. It worked appropriately with normal use for a few days and then I noticed the light was not coming on when I opened the door.

Read more lem by soaking valve in boiling hot water to help loosen the connection. Install of new valve was reverse of the removal process. My son did the work and saved me approximately $200 for a service call. I also want to say that ordering the part from your company was less expensive than if I had ordered it locally and gone to pick it up! unhook electric & unscrewed 2 metal screws unhooked water line,& replaced new one & reversed hooking up all it worked fine

We read your help site and was able to find what was causing our water filling probelms. Order the valve intake part and made the repair and the dishwasher works like new. Shut off the hot water supply (pretty sharp eh?). Disconnected the hose from the hw supply and the at the connection to the washing machine. Hardest part of the whole job was moving the washing machine out from between the drier and the wash tub .... tight fit. Thanks for the quick service and to FED EX for their delivery. The delivery fellow was a real gentleman.

Removed and replaced leaking water inlet valve, 10 minutes and saved me a hundred in plumber fees.

My Modern Maid electric cooktop (circa 1994) was in need of new burners. I thought this was a hopeless cause but searched the web and found Part Select. They solved my problem by having the needed burners and sending them promptly. My cooktop works beautifully once again.

Safety First: 1) I shut power off to dishwasher, 2) Shut water off to dishwasher, 3) Checked electrical with tic tracer to confirm power was off after removing bottom dishwasher panel, 4) I checked the orientation of old valve: connection plate, water inlet tubing, hose connection, and electrical connection. Then I removed the 2-screws th ... Read more at held the valve in place with a nut driver. Next I removed the compression clamp from the rubber hose with pliers and a screw driver. Then I removed the compression fitting and copper tubing from the old valve. Note: Kenmore used a compression fitting to connect the copper tubing to the original water valve. That said, I had to remove the old fitting and install a new one (using a pipe cutter on the copper tubing before installing a new compression fitting). I also bought a new valve elbow because the old one was not serviceable. With all three connections made up (the rubber tubing connected to the new valve along with the electrical connection, and the new elbow and compression fitting installed) I tested for leaks and reconnected the holding bracket to the side of the dishwasher frame. Before calling it good I vacuumed out the area under the dishwasher. Note: because the water inlet valve is located close to the floor, all the work had to be done while laying on the floor...awkward. This too, I had to purchase a new valve elbow and compression fitting so halfway through the project I had to make a run to the hardware store. Overall, replacing the water inlet valve on a 10 year old Kenmore dishwasher is an easy project...pretty straight forward but having to go to the hardware store stretched the installation time out to over an hour.
