By going on line and going to PartsSelect, the check out procedures traced the problem to the start/overload relay. Using a nut driver, I removed the back panel and using their instruction, I installed the overload relay. On the next to the last step on the instruction, the sealer in the kit was already hardened. The whole experience with PartsSelect was great.

In my case the defrost thermostat was not the problem. Not worth going through the hassle of checking the thermostat as I would have had to cut it out and test it in another freezer (while the food that was in the freezer was being stored elsewhere). I ended up getting a drain tube heater strap, and have been keeping my eye on the fridge. It hasn't been long enough to say the strap fixed the problem, but all indications are pointing to that being the case.

remove braketts holding seal , install new seal.

removed shims on screws holding motor together, enlarged hole in mounting bracket so motor screws could also go through mounting brackets.

After the front panel was removed, disconnected the timer and installed new in reverse order. The provided instructions could be more straight forward, I spent more time reading it than the installation itself.

The repair was easy, I removed the cover on the top front of the fresh food compartment. It housed the defrost timer which was easy to identify and replace. My fridge did not have icemaker add on. The evap fan is in the freezer behind the back panel. Empty the freezer section (into a cooler) and turn the fridge off. Read more o remove fan shroud. Remove old fan and save the mounting arms. Install mounting arms on new fan and install fan. Install shroud, back panel, shelf mounts and shelves. Thats it!

Just moved into a new rental home and a few days in the bar that holds all the stuff -- milk containers, juice jugs, etc. -- in the refridge door falls off. I really only had to use pliers to pull out the oodles of hard swirly caulk from the slots in the door left from the overkill job by the previous tenants.

PS. This form made me select the age of the appliance. I really have no idea since I just moved in and it was already here.

Slid the end caps onto the shelf, placed the tape on the pieces as noted in the directions, and put the shelf back in place. Fast service, exact part, easy to find on the web site! Great!

Replaced the water valve. I knew that the ice maker was working by watching the movement. It was not getting water to it, s I figured it was the electric water valve and sure enough, that fixed the problem.

This was very easy and pretty fast to do and its working great...all for $40 bucks ! you can do this...trust me!

Removed the access panel on back of unit located the Run Capacitor on the compressor and removed the bad one and put the new one on and pugged refrigerator back in and it started up and works fine now

Very easy. Left the front of the refrigerator so it is approx. 4 inches of the floor. (used a two by four. Removed the screws (one for each roller). Removed the rollers and replaced with new rollers. Reinstalled the screws with secures the rollers to the refrigerator. Done

The first part I changed was the defrost timer but it did
not solve the problem, I replaced the bi-metal defrost sensor
and I have the same problem.

I can defrost by turning the clock manually and heater works.
