1069658284 Kenmore Refrigerator - Instructions

Removed the 2 screws holding the light bulb shield, then the 4 uolding the metal panel. Unplugged the olw door switch and replaced.
reassembled the pieces.

Took cardboard cover off rear of refrigerator, five screws. Turned water off and unplugged fridge. Took out two screws holding inlet valve, pulled off quick release power wires and changed out water supplies in and out. Rebooked power and replaces cardboard cover. With power and water back on, ice maker was supplied with water.

decided to take a chance and replace the ice maker,so far no water leaking.feels nice to know the problem is fixed.thanks for the video on how to replace it, thanks again very easy repair

NO DIRECTIONS CAME WITH GASKET! Project failure as gasket tore on a corner. For the price of this gasket, I was DISAPPOINTED. Door is being held shut with a childproof strap.

It was not complicated but it took more squeezing and reaching into the narrow space than actually removing three screws and unplugging the electrical harness. take out Ice maker tray, remove three screws holding the ice maker, unplug electrical connector. Replace with new Ice maker,Ice started to fill the tray. ENJOY!!

I first replaced the switch and had no results, I then ordered the Light Socket Kit, and because I had the experience of removing the panel to replace the switch, it took a few minutes to remove the two screws behind the panel, removing the temperature control knobs and then releasing the face plate which is secured by tabs at the bottom. ... Read more The kit came with extra connectors in case they were needed, but they were not in my case and so I pulled off the wires, pushed the old socket out and the new one in. Attaching the wires to the correct pins, I screwed in the light bulb to be sure that the fix was correct and determining that, I replaced the screws that held the panel in place. Voila, I'm a happy camper who found some outdated jars in the back corners of the newly lighted shelves.

Took the old one out and plug the new one in, simply as 1 2 3. Order the part one morning,it was here the next afternoon, the ice maker was fixed in less than a half hour. we will order from you the next time.

First took all frozen food out and than undid the screws that held back on--than cut the wires that held the piece and replaced it but also found that the plug was frozen so we thawed that out, that is why it took longer. Repair went well,took about five to ten minutes to disconnect the power from the fridge removed the defective switch installed the new one ,reconnected the power,,,and Let there be light and there was light!

I determined that the ice cube maker was no longer heating the cubes so they could be released into the ice tray. After ordering a new unit, taking out four screws and disconnecting the quick disconnect of wires I plugged the new one in and we were back in business.

Ordered it, received it in due time and it was very easy to replace. As of right now I'm very pleased. Thanks

We removed three screws, unplugged the wire and then removed the old ice maker. Installed the new ice maker with the screws, plugged in the wire and shortly after that we had ice! I was nervous about this repair but it was so easy and the part was here in three days.

Referencing the info/schematics you have on your website, I unscrewed/unattached top-front panel (carefully), from behind the panel you have to detach the wires (2) from the switch, pushed "in" the switch to remove, put in new switch and attach wires to test BEFORE remounting panel. This was a snap. Loosened 3 screws, removed
old ice maker. Made cutout for water chute. Plugged in
wiring harness plug. Installed new ice maker. Tightened 3 screws.

These brain surgeons that charge $80.00 just to show up at my house to repair an appliance are history.
