Open your door as far as it will go. Line it up with the plastic holder should just slide into place.

Very easy to install

I took a chance and ordered a switch that is next to the top of the door. looked for how to remove it easily done in ten minutes works fine last long time.

I took out the old socket by moving a clip. Reattached the electrical wires, clicked in the socket and that was it.

inserted a knife between the switch and the plastic interior in order to pop the switch out.
then took off the 2 wires on the old switch put them on the new switch and reinserted the switch into the plastic interior.

The repair story webpage has some problems. I want to rate it "very helpful" but it showed "not helpful". I am pleased with the order service. It was very hard to find the parts on the web. I simply removed the old switch by gently pulling down on the old switch with a screwdriver. When it was about half way out I just gently pulled down on the old switch and it popped out... I removed the two connectors attached to the old switch by pulling on the connectors with a pliers...I tried using my fingers but wasn't able to pull t ... Read more he connectors off so I used pliers. It worked perfectly.. When pulling off the old connectors, make sure you attach the new switch to the same tabs on the new switch... It was very easy to do and took under 5 mins.....The light switch works perfect....P.S. You should unplug the frig while making the connection just in case....Safety first....!!!

The light rocker switch wasnt working. I found the part on the web site. It was so easy. I used a screw driver to pop out the old one and pop the new one in. It took 5 min. Thanks!!!

Replaced frame

I removed the switch housing (4 screws), replacing the switch in the housing was a snap. It took 5 minutes, cost $8 and light works like new!

Why didn't I order this part and do the repair earlier? Very simple.

Checked compressor with amp meter, and found it was not running, found Overload Switch bad.
When removing old switch watch carefully which lug you move wires from, so you will know which
lug to put the new switch on.

Very simple fix, remove 3 screws, two connectors to the old switch

The part-select video showed me to do the following:

Unplug dish washer

Open the door and unscrew the screws around the inside of the door all around.

Place the screws in the detergent holder with a cap until finished.

The door mechanism is at the top and attached to two electrical wires.

Unfasten the wires from the attachment.

Take the new attachment and fasten the wires to it.

Place the attachment back in the spot and make sure handle is sticking thru the hole to the outside.

Reattach the screws.

Plug back chord.

Finished - 15 minutes

Grat help on the phone. We saw repair on YouTube. my wife and I worked it together. It was child's play!! It went beautifully. we were able to "chill out" with ice aplenty!!Thanks...eric
