1069608090 Kenmore Refrigerator - Instructions

I did exactly as the video showed. I popped out the old switch, disconnected the two terminals, connected the new switch and put it back. The light now works! The refrigerator is over 25 years old and the switch works! What a great website this is. Couldn't of done the job without Partselect's help.

I was careful to unplug each cord one at a time so that I can easily match them up to the new start relay. Once I got the cords plugged into the new start relay, I went ahead and plugged in the fridge and it worked like it never stopped working. I must admit, I'm still nervous about this fridge because I never had to do anything like this ... Read more in my life so in the back of my mind, I'm always wondering if I did it correctly or not. I was giving a lesson on how to make sure that I have it on correctly but that didn't put me at ease..lol. Parts Select sent this part in less then a day and that made me appreciate there business even more. I was concerned that the part wouldn't get here until later on that week.

took out the old fill tube installed the new one and its working great. I really did not think that was going to be the problem thought it would be more than that but it was not. It took about 7min to change thanks for the fast shipping I will use you in the future.

R/R part, 3 screws reconnect 3 wires. easy.

Read more res back it took less than 10 minutes and it's working now.thanks to Part Select to make easy to fix it.

Removed screws from the back of the part in the fridge. Pulled old part out. Measured the old part. Cut new part to fit. Replaced new part and tightened the screws. Worked perfectly.

Had no problem at all it took about 5 minutes to get the tray off and about 5 minutes to put new tray on.New part fit perfect. Thanks Robert Lovern

I felt confident I could do it myself after watching the video just once, and utilizing the written instructions that came with the part. followed the video as instructed. Saved two repairman calls, one to find the problem, one to install. Net savings was about $130.00

Exactly how the part select video described it. Threw a little curve ball figuring out which timer setting to set it to. But the instructions provided with defrost timer walked me right through it. After receiving the new part almost immediately,using two screw drivers, removed the broken switch from the plastic frame. Be careful not to scratch or otherwise tear the plastic...very pliable. Since the original switch was factory installed and the wires were packed in fiberglass insulation, the switch came out but the wires and clips ... Read more were still in place and could not reach the new switch. It was necessary to pull them down with bent long nose pliers...used a lot of "pull" but the wires held up.Connected the switch, turned the power on and there was light! Reports from other users really took the uncertainty out of the task.
