Zip ties are single-use and may not be reused after they are removed from a machine. To release the locking mechanism, you will need to insert a small flat tool into the head of the zip tie, between the tongue and the serration, and depress the bar. The unit should cutoff when the pan gets full enough for it to depress the pan full switch on the back of the unit. Used an ohm-meter to check and see that this switch was bad.
