1069203311 Kenmore Freezer - Instructions

Just as shown on a you tube video showing the steps involved, except I did not need to drill and tap the hole in the door. Cam repair kit contained all the correct parts.Freezer door is still working fine so I did not need to repair that door.

Removed the door, installed the lower cam & re-installed the door. Diagram & parts list correct. An easy repair.

A very cold and brittle switch in a 17 year old fridge. Used screwdrivers to pry out with some resistance Had to cut the molded plug in half and split wires, because replacement contacts were farther apart than the original. End result, works great.

I followed the video instructions available on the net. Hardest part of the job was getting up off the floor after I disconnected the water line. I'm 90 years old

When I investigated online @ Part Select, they had all of the parts shown on schematics of each section of the refrigerator/freezer (side by side)with part numbers shown. The hardest part was removing all the condiments from the shelves and remembering from which shelf they had to be returned. Net savings $200.00

I removed the door and replaced the door cams and reinstalled the door

I am a single female so the hardest part was lifting the door off and then trying to get it back on the hinge. I used the same bolts that were on the door so putting the new parts on was the easiest part. The slowest part was finding the right socket for the bolts and unscrewing the originals. Beats hiring a repair man.

I removed the door (three screws on top). Flipped the door upside down, removed the cams, and replaced with the new ones and replaced the door. Now the door closes great. rem upper hinge on door on & lifted door off. installed kit provided & ressemble.

1. Used fine tip marker pen to draw outline of upper hinge position

2. unloaded food from door

3. took decorative cover off upper hing mount

4. loosened 3 screws (not completely) and lifted up upper hinge to permit upper door pin/hinge to come free.

5. lifted door off lower hinge.

7. put door on bottom hinge.

8. put top hinge into door

9. snugged up three screws in top hinge plate.

10. had to loosen top hinge screws and tap hinge plate around to get door to close by itself when about 1-2 inches from being closed

Best part was PartSelect save me bunches of money and got parts quickly

Removed door,took out old part@replaced with new

My owners manual said to unplug fridge from elec outlet, use a kitchen knife to gently pry off the switch plate
(manual had a pictoral example), unclip the two wire, replace with on new switch and replace the switch. Close
door and plug back in. Open door to check that the lite
works. Walla! It did. Thanks!
