1068490261 Kenmore Refrigerator - Instructions

Pulled out the refrigerator and removed the two panels from the rear of the refrigerator. Removed the fan held in by four screws and unplugged the connector. Soldered on the original connector, installed the fan to the motor and re-installed the unit into the refrigerator. Then blew out and vaccumed the condenser coils.

Removed rear cover to see non-operating fan - removed three mounting screws on the motor that were a challenge to access. Swapped fan from old motor onto new motor - one threaded nut on the motor shaft. Spliced new fan wires into fan wires of the wiring harness and mounted with three self-tapping screws supplied with new fan motor. Repl ... Read more aced rear cover and plugged it in! Unscrewed old broken part from the kickplate and attempted to install the new clip. Mounting screws would not go into the new clip. Had to drill out the mounting holes in the plastic clip using a #30 drill bit. Once the new clip was mounted, attempted to snap the kickplate back in place. Unfortunately at the left side the kickplate would ... Read more not fully mate with the metal clip on the refrigerator body and would not snap all the way back to the refrigerator front surface, as the right side does. At least the kickplate doesn't fall down onto the floor on the left side as it did before. I suspect there is an alignment problem with the left side refrigerator metal clip, but have not pursued that yet.

It was pretty straight forward after all the control panel removed. The plastic tubing was removed from old and installed on new part. Reconnected the connectors and re-route wire to the back vent. After installed covers and control panel, turn on power, it runs.

took front knobs off an then cover took side cover off next then disconnected themostat and replaced with new and followed the coil to side to the back of fridge an put back together. Oh by the way I unplugged the fridge first

Figured out You have to pop off the cocer than remove the 1/4 hex head screws only not the philips ones

Replaced both since they came as a set. The only way it could have been any easier is if I had the wife do it. She had the remote this time. (•¿•)

First I had to tilt the refrigerator on wood on the supports under the refrigerator, the wheels were easy to get to then I unscrewed the old ones and replaced them with the new better wheels. The old ones where plastic.

Just like the video showed me.It still does not work. Have to turn it off and on to make it start up.I also replaced thermostat in freezer. Does not work.

One of the front studs was broken off. I had to use pliers to pull it out (kind of tight). Then I inserted the back and front holders and layed the shelf back in. Total time...10 min

ordered the wrong part at first. Spoke to a service assistant, returned it and got the right part. Cut it to fit and inserted it. The Service assistant was very helpful, wish I used her first rather than the online system.

Took a while to determine how the broken studs were attached. Guessed correct rotation. New ones went in easy.

new shelf was installed by placing the clips into the provided slots.
