I first replaced the switch and had no results, I then ordered the Light Socket Kit, and because I had the experience of removing the panel to replace the switch, it took a few minutes to remove the two screws behind the panel, removing the temperature control knobs and then releasing the face plate which is secured by tabs at the bottom. ... Read more The kit came with extra connectors in case they were needed, but they were not in my case and so I pulled off the wires, pushed the old socket out and the new one in. Attaching the wires to the correct pins, I screwed in the light bulb to be sure that the fix was correct and determining that, I replaced the screws that held the panel in place. Voila, I'm a happy camper who found some outdated jars in the back corners of the newly lighted shelves.

Took the old one out and plug the new one in, simply as 1 2 3. Order the part one morning,it was here the next afternoon, the ice maker was fixed in less than a half hour. we will order from you the next time.

take out Ice maker tray, remove three screws holding the ice maker, unplug electrical connector. Replace with new Ice maker,Ice started to fill the tray. ENJOY!!

Repair went well,took about five to ten minutes to disconnect the power from the fridge removed the defective switch installed the new one ,reconnected the power,,,and Let there be light and there was light!

We removed three screws, unplugged the wire and then removed the old ice maker. Installed the new ice maker with the screws, plugged in the wire and shortly after that we had ice! I was nervous about this repair but it was so easy and the part was here in three days.

Referencing the info/schematics you have on your website, I unscrewed/unattached top-front panel (carefully), from behind the panel you have to detach the wires (2) from the switch, pushed "in" the switch to remove, put in new switch and attach wires to test BEFORE remounting panel. This was a snap. Loosened 3 screws, removed
old ice maker. Made cutout for water chute. Plugged in
wiring harness plug. Installed new ice maker. Tightened 3 screws.

These brain surgeons that charge $80.00 just to show up at my house to repair an appliance are history.

I determined that the ice cube maker was no longer heating the cubes so they could be released into the ice tray. After ordering a new unit, taking out four screws and disconnecting the quick disconnect of wires I plugged the new one in and we were back in business.

I replaced the old icemaker with a new one but the problem is still occurring in the new one. It only fill with enough water to make about two ice cubes

The instructions are practically no help, but if you study the diagram, you can figure out the one screw you need to remove. Then the icemaker lift off of two brackets. I couldn't see how to use a screwdriver to unlock the bracket, but just applying mild pressure and pulling it forward brought it right out. I didn't have to change anyt ... Read more hing with the plug already intalled so it was very easy to pop in, lock the plug, pop into brackets, replace screw and I was in business. 24 hours later I had a bucket of ice! 15 minutes to figure out how to get old out and 5 min to replace new one. I simply removed the old switch by gently pulling down on the old switch with a screwdriver. When it was about half way out I just gently pulled down on the old switch and it popped out... Read more he connectors off so I used pliers. It worked perfectly.. When pulling off the old connectors, make sure you attach the new switch to the same tabs on the new switch... It was very easy to do and took under 5 mins.....The light switch works perfect....P.S. You should unplug the frig while making the connection just in case....Safety first....!!!

Ordered the leveling bolts, very fast shipping, parts correct as shown. Purchased a condo by the shore, frige had no levelers, they went in smoothly & was done in no time.

Super! It was so fast and easy to fix. Receive my kit in three days and save a lot of money not having to have a repairman come and do it!

inserted a knife between the switch and the plastic interior in order to pop the switch out.
then took off the 2 wires on the old switch put them on the new switch and reinserted the switch into the plastic interior.
