I took the cover off the control settings and found the timer. Removed two screws and replaced the defective one with the new one. Had to pay attention to directions since the timer is used in different ways and to make sure the loose wire was installed correctly (not the same way as the original ground was connected).

I bought a new Whirlpool Refrigerator that didn't have an ice maker.
I wanted to install an ice maker. I searched your web site and found the model ice maker model it said I needed. WPW10715709. This one was a 4 wire 8 terminal. I needed a 4 wire flat connector. This product comes in a bottle with a brush like Liquid Paper. It goes on incredibly easy. A second coat might be needed. I wanted to prevent rust from setting in so I covered the scratches and dings. The paint is a little brighter since my washer is 10 years old but it still looks great.

From the time I started to finish I worked 3 hours, this included installing the new ice maker, cutting into the cold water line in the basement and installing a t with a 6inch piece of pipe with a compression valve to connect to the small cooper tube, this is worth your time to do it this way, its a lot better connection than the small p ... removed the defrost timer and replaced with new unit now i have a refrigerator again

Pulled off the interior panel, removed the old blower, reinstalled the new one, plugged the frig in to make sure it ran and replaced the interior panel.

plastic warped in ,spaced out and, the socket snapped back in place.

Just replaced the switch, but unfortunately that was not the problem; nor was it the bulb....so I am back to square one.

Confirmed that the solenoid controlled water valve (Part # PS358631) between the water source and the back of ice maker was defective. I did this by removing the valve and plastic hose from the back of the refrigerator and pointed the end that went into the icemaker towards the sink. I was not sure what was causing the problem, I thought at first it was low water pressure causing the hollow ice cubes. After some trial and error testing I figured a likely cause could be the water valve in the ice maker itself. It was very easy and I'm not a handyman by any stretch of the imagination. I just removed the back inside panel of the freezer. The I unscrewed the fan mounting bracket. Unclipped the wires. Removed the old fan blade and put it on the new motor. I then attached the wires to the new motor and secured it with the old mounting brackets. ... Read more I then replaced the back panel.
