Simply cut the water tube on both sides of connector and push in the new one.

This is an easy fix. The hardest part was just determining which part to replace. But the Q&A's for the ice maker from this site steered me right. And their video on how to install was easy to follow. The only difference I found was my Whirlpool had only 2 electrical connectors instead of the 3 in the video. I finished the job in about ... I used the computer to enter the make and model of the refrigerator with the icemaker unit. We looked at the diagram to identify the name of the part and then ordered it. It was sent out the next day! We received it and installed it and it works perfect!

Repair went well,took about five to ten minutes to disconnect the power from the fridge removed the defective switch installed the new one ,reconnected the power,,,and Let there be light and there was light!

Simple to replace. 6 screws out. Unplug connections... Plug back in, replace screws.

Unfortunately still not making ice. Will try fill valve replacement.

1. Removed 2 screws on top hing.
2. Easily lifted door and place on table.
3. Removed set screw for door cam.
4. Removed stop bracket.
5. Reversed steps 4 thru 1.

When tightening top 2 screws, make sure door gap is consistent and top of frig door aligns with the top of the freezer door.

They sold me the wrong part, even though I showed them a picture of my model number plate b4 ordering. In the future, I will always go to PartSelect for my appliance part purchases.

First turn off the ice maker. Then there's four screws in the very back you remove pull out the cover. There's hex head 516 bolts maybe quarter inch that hold in the ice maker unplug the ice maker reverse process

Referencing the info/schematics you have on your website, I unscrewed/unattached top-front panel (carefully), from behind the panel you have to detach the wires (2) from the switch, pushed "in" the switch to remove, put in new switch and attach wires to test BEFORE remounting panel. Unhooked water line from house to fridge then unbolted valve from fridge body then removed plastic water line from fridge to valve by pushing in on pex release tab then reversed process with new valve. Works like a charm. No more leakage. Wood floor is dry and Happy!

After removing shelving and evaporator coil cover, suspended water bladder and evaporator coil with bungy cords. Removed and repaired drain pan, closing pitted holes and applying a coat of paint. I used two digital thermometers, placing one on the top shelf and the other one the middle shelf to measure temp. Both read 37 degrees, which is fine.

Never did this particular repair before. Fairly easy.

Took lower back board off, took part off to expose it so I could see where it was leaking, got part number, ordered it.
Shut off water to frig at wall shut off, unhooked both hoses and plug, hooked new part up, turned water back on. Watched couple days to make sure it wasn't leaking. Vacuumed out back good, which I was amazed didn't ... Read more really need it, hooked part back in place, replaced back with screws.

I took a chance and ordered a switch that is next to the top of the door. looked for how to remove it easily done in ten minutes works fine last long time.

Remove the top two drawers, with a small screwdriver pop out module, unplug, plug in new module, press back into place, put drawers back, DONE! 5 minutes easy peasy ??
