1065004 Kenmore Refrigerator - Instructions

Ordered Ice Bin Auger and changed with no problem. Found how to change on YouTube and followed video.

Took off the rear cardboard cover, unscrewed the old valve, checked to see if there was enough tubing to fit if I cut the tubing. removed the 2 electric connectors, Cut the tubing 3, installed the 2 electric plugs, inserted the 3 tubes, mounted the new valve, replaced the cardboard cover. I followed the directions and it worked.

Took old ice maker out; put in new ice maker.

First I removed the screw holding the ice door shaft (at the rear of the ice container). Removed clip of which the screw was holding in place (no need to remove the clip from the shaft). Then I removed the front cover screws, separated front cover from ice container. Door shaft is removed with front cover assembly, no need to remove a ... Read more nything else from front cover. Pulled out auger shaft, removed circlip (snap ring) and washer from front of shaft. Used an adjustable wrench to remove plastic nut from front end of shaft. CAUTION - the plastic nut is reverse thread, make sure to turn it clockwise to loosen and remove. Pulled off broken auger then reassembled with new auger in the reverse order as previously described.

Popped out broken switch with blunt flat edged instrument. Disconnected switch from unit . Plugged new piece in and reinserted into side panel of refrigerator. Very easy.

The instructions in the package were not helpful. They wanted me to cut the wiring harness and described where to cut based on the wire colors. My wires were not the same color! It was easy to push the whole assembly back into the door. I spent more time looking for something to cut the wiring harness with (and never did find it) than the whole job actually took without needing to cut anything!

use kitchen knife to pry out. replaced switch assemble and pressed back into place. Could not have done this with out help from previous customers. Thanks

Disconnect plug from wall. Insert putty knife between light switch.and trim panel , apply pressure to depress plastic spring holding switch in place. Apply a slight twist too putty knife releasing switch from trim piece. This wil expose plug connected to switch. Disconnect plug from switch. Connect new switch to plug. Insert switch into ... Was told capacitor was problem 90% of the time.Capacior was not the problem.Bad start relay.

Just plugged it in
