Watched a quick tutorial by Virtual Repairman and determined that my Ice Maker Control and Motor Assembly was most likely the root cause, as a matter of fact it was listed as the problem 63% of the time. I removed the Ice Maker as instructed , pulled the motor free and sure enough, I immediatley saw that the motor had shorted out. I order

Bled the system and within an hour or so the unit was making ice again.I have to admit though, I had my doubt's about the part showing up correctly, but they did. To sum it all up, when I need an appliance or electronic part, this is the first place I'm going to look.

I removed the ice maker, saw the problem, took the ice maker apart and ordered a new mold. I reassembled it with the new mold and it now makes ice but the control arm remains up after each ice dump. I plan to take the ice maker back out when we leave (we are snow birds in Florida) and see if the arm is properly placed.

I didn't, the young man who does all my maintenance work did it. He's super and can do anything. Thanks for making the repairs so simple, not having to pay the going service charge....I paid my Jim $25 compared to probably $65 by a service person.
