10478 General Electric Range - Instructions

When I got the part I removed the tin cover (two screws)on the back of the range. I removed the sensor by removing the two screws inside the oven and pulled out the sensor. taking the instructions advise, I checked the sensor with my ohm meter and although it read 1.1 ohms as compared with the recommended 1.09 ohms at room temperature in ... Read more the instructions, went ahead and changed the unit. The connector did not fit my particular model so I spliced the wiring and using the two included wire nuts made the connection. I reinstalled the sensor, reattached the gas line, plugged it in and tried the oven before I put it back in place. The oven works great now and it was super easy.

I easily took out the old ones and put in the new ones sent by Part Select. As promised they fit perfectly. Now when my wife cooks there is no more smoke and it does not set off the smoke detector.

removed old handles and slid door apart align new handles and re-installed new handles. One person job.

I removed the two screws in the oven door with a T-15 screwdriver and pulled the inside frame away from the front glass. At which time I hear something came loose it was the oven door spacers, got back on the web site to see were they went from the parts list and put it back together in no time.

You need to remove both ends first you block up under the oven door so it is flat to work on then, you will see inside the door the to sleeves that the long screw goes through is easier to screw back in,you are on the road to finished product. H.l.R

Open the box and inserted the bowls

This repair was super easy. I removed the two screws holding the oven sensor in place, pulled the sensor from the oven wall to expose the two wires attached to the sensor cut and spliced in the new sensor as per instructions. This installation was for a replacement for one of the burner bowls on the original order. Replacement bowl fits proiperly.

Replaced them all. Next I want to replace the burners.

The repair was very easy. It did require a very small torx driver (I can't remember the size off hand.) and a 1/4" nut driver.

Slide out burner elements. Remove old burner bowls. Insert new burner bowls and reinstall burner elements.
