I went on line to find the part. Luckily I found PartSelect.com. All I had to do was enter the model number into the search box and scroll through the list of parts.
I ordered the part over the weekend and recieved it on Tuesday!

Removed old bucket/auger assy from frig. Removed 4 + screws from front cover. Put front cover on new bucket/auger assy. Reinstalled in frig.....done. now have clean ice.

Ordered new auger and ice bucket assembly. Removed old door and with four screws I attached it to the new unit. Works very well!

My husband just pulled out the defective ice bucket and replaced the new one.

I removed the 4 screws from the cover and replaced the auger and ice bucket assembly. Extremely simple and I was amazed how easy it was.

Removed the face plate (4 screws) on the ice bucket/auger and put it on the new unit.

it was really easy now it works like it did when it was brand new

Pull out the old, dump the nasty ice. Remove 4 screws attached to the front cover. throw in trash, replace with new auger assembly, with 4 screws. Put it back in ice maker and let it make ice. Easy, cheap and never left the house to searc for the right part, found it on the front porch.

Removed the old assembly from the refrigerator. Used a screwdriver to remove the four screws attaching the old assembly to the plastic front plates. Removed old ice bucket with auger. Unscrewed front plates that form the front of the ice bucket. Replaced the front plates on the new part (ice bucket and auger). Replaced new assemblage. It took about 20 minutes. Had to empty ice out and put in a temporary cooler for storage. Bigger problem than the repair was diagnosing what was wrong ... Read more . Pushed disagnose button and it said ice maker was working normallly. Careful examination of the ice bucket removed from refrigerator showed spring out of place on long metal rod that protrudes from the back of the ice bucket and fits into a square hole in back of refrigerator. Examined other end of rod that engages with plastic parts that run the ice auger and ice crusher mechanism. A piece must have broken off. That was the problem. Refrigerator ice maker now works fine as originally designed. Push crudh the ice crusher engages and you get crused ice. Push cubes and the icemaker crusher slides out of the way and you get cubes.

Since I really needed to replace the deteriating auger I used the original ice bucket and transferred the new auger assembly into the old ice bucket. Looked complicated at first, but make it work and my refrigerator is now making nice clean ice. It would have taken a lot longer if I sent the new bigger ice bucket back and it was my fault. ... Removed the 4 screws off the old bucket cover and place the cover on new bucket. Just that simply. Can't beat the price!!!

Removed the ice from tray and removed screws from face of ice bucket. Reinstalled screws and face on new ice bucket. Inserted new ice bucket in position.
That's it all done.
