This is a genuine part which is supplied directly by the original equipment manufacturer and is used with Briggs and Stratton and Toro engines. When pulled, the starter rope engages starter spring causing the engine turn fast enough for the ignition module to generate a spark to ignite the fuel in the cylinder. This part is made of nylon rope and is sold individually. To install the rope you will need a screwdriver and socket wrench. Turn the starter spring to build tension and recoil the rope inside.
