Part #691656
A starter solenoid, also known as a starter relay, is an electrical component that is used within small engine systems to control the starter motor by engaging it when an ignition key is turned - acting as a bridge between the battery and starter motor. This starter solenoid is designed for use with various models of lawn mower and other small engine equipment and is sold as an individual part with no securing hardware. Depending on your model and type of equipment, the location of the starter solenoid may be different, but it is typically located on or around the engine block, and close to the battery. If you notice issues with starting your equipment such as clicking sounds, intermittent starting or simply not starting at all, the solenoid may be burnt or damaged and need replacement immediately. You can test the solenoid for continuity on its terminals with a multimeter, but make sure to take safety precautions. To replace a starter solenoid, you need only disconnect the equipment from power, locate the solenoid, disconnect and remove any connections and securing bolts before you can replace it and test for full functionality.

Assembly, Holder, Brush
Part #66386GS
The brush holder assembly in your generator keeps the brushes in place, allowing them to touch the rotor. It consists of a plastic brush holder and two carbon brushes with lead wires and attached springs. You can usually find the holder assembly inside the generator housing, near the rotor and stator assembly. If the holder assembly is broken, it can cause improper electrical contact between the brushes and the rotor, leading to a loss of electrical current transfer. Additionally, over time, the brushes will wear down from use, resulting in inconsistent contact with the rotor. Look for visible signs of damage like cracks, breaks, or deformations in the holder. A damaged holder can cause unstable voltage, power surges, or your generator failing to generate electricity altogether. To remove the existing brush holder assembly from your generator, refer to your user guide for detailed instructions. It may involve removing a cover or access panel to reach it. Use a nut driver or suitable tool to disconnect the assembly from the rear-bearing carrier and any connected wires. Remember to magnetize the brush assembly and conduct a generator test after installing the new one. Please keep in mind that this authentic OEM part is sold individually.
