This genuine OEM check valve seat assembly ensures proper fuel flow in one direction preventing leaks and backflow. It is located near the fuel inlet needle inside the carburetor between the needle control diaphragm chamber and the mixture screws cavity. If damaged it can lead to fuel leakage flooding and engine issues like sputtering or difficulty starting. Neglecting to replace a broken assembly can result in costly repairs and breakdowns. To replace the check valve seat assembly refer to your user guide for instructions to access and disassemble the carburetor. This may involve removing covers air filters fuel lines or other components. Since the slot for the assembly is shallow you can enlarge its opening by using a drill press. You can pry the valve out with an awl. Alternatively you can use a drift punch and mallet. Place the drift punch on top of the check valve seat and gently tap it to loosen and remove it.
