The ice maker stopped working
First I unplugged the unit, then I popped off the cover to the icemaker electronics. Removed 4 screws, pulled out the broken electronic panel, and replaced with the new one. Returned the screws and cover. The next moring the ice bin was full.

The key item in this outing was the Door Balance Link Kit. All others were 5 minute easy repairs. t able to slide his unit out. Once it was out, getting the old broken door balance parts off was relatively easy. Stretching the spring to get the new ones mounted took some effort. Than a fair amount of fiddling to get the dishwasher back in the right position and level under the old counter. I figure I still came out ahead with having to wait on two visits from the repairman (one for diagnosis and parts ordering, one for install). And now I know a little more about how this thing ticks.
