Handle broke because one of three screws was missing
Took the two screws that secured handle out, removed old handle, installed new handle, secured with 3 screws, because one was never installed by factory, thats why handle broke. Works fine now !

Old plastic handle cracked and was ready to break off.
Ordered new handle thru PartSelect.com, replaced it and I'm good to go.

Both parts needed replacing. Could not find a replacement until you.
Pulled out old screws. Replaced with new screws.
Very easy.
Cannot thank you enough. Sears said the parts were not made anymore. We were upset as rest of compactor was fine,but we had a torn guard and a cracked handle. Price of a new compactor was a fortune. But thanks to you. LEss than $50 good as new.

I got the model number. Went to partselect nad found picture.Got part number. Ordered part and recieved next day. Opened drawer and removed old handle (2 screws ) and installed new part.Closed draw. DONE
