Tiller Ball Bearing 6201
PartSelect Number PS9166183
Manufacturer Part Number 9403536201
This single-row, deep-groove ball bearing is sized at 12x32x10mm and is made of durable metal. It is used to reduce friction and vibrations when it is in between two parts that are rotating or moving against each other. This bearing can handle forces that are applied to it up-and-down and sideways, also known as radial and axial loads. It is easy to install and can handle high rotational speeds without causing too much vibration or making much noise. Over time, this ball bearing wears out from heat and pressure and starts to fail. If the engine of your machine has been run without oil in the gas tank, this ball bearing can seize. In these situations, you will need to replace the ball bearings. Otherwise, you will notice that your machine overheats, works harder because of the increased friction it is handling, and produces excessive vibration and noise. To extract a ball bearing from your machine, you will need to insert a flat-head screwdriver through the bearing opening and against the seal. Then, tap the seal out with a mallet. Afterwards, slot a socket through the diameter of the bearing, and tap the entire bearing out of its place by again using a mallet. This authentic OEM part is sold individually, so be sure to refer to your user manual to verify how many bearings your machine needs and where they are in it.
Tiller Ball Bearing
PartSelect Number PS9178732
Manufacturer Part Number 941-0563
This ball bearing is an authentic replacement part used in outdoor power equipment. It has an outer diameter of 1.575 inches and features a retaining ring to secure it in place. It is also double sealed to maintain lubrication and provide additional protection. The ball bearing is responsible for reducing friction between moving parts and ensuring smooth rotation. If the ball bearing is worn down, damaged or inadequately lubricated, it can result in damage to the equipment parts, overheating, excessive noise, and decreased power during operation. A faulty bearing should be replaced promptly to ensure the longevity of your equipment. Remove the faulty bearing using a bearing puller and clean the mating surface thoroughly. Place the new bearing in position and apply steady pressure using press tools or a bearing installer to secure it in place.
Tiller Bearing, Needle
PartSelect Number PS9007786
Manufacturer Part Number 532005020
This needle bearing is sourced from the original equipment manufacturer for use in lawn and garden equipment. It is a cylindrical roller that allows the rotating parts such as the drive shaft to move smoothly and avoid friction damage. The bearing is made from steel and designed to withstand heavy loads, and harsh outdoor conditions. Over time the bearing may wear down from lack of lubrication, or damage from the heavy loads and impacts. If the needle bearing is faulty, you will notice excessive vibration, grinding and squeaking noises, and overall lower performance from your equipment. Carefully remove the old bearing from your equipment using bearing pullers and clean the area thoroughly to ensure a good fit for the new bearing. Lubricate the new bearing and press it into position to complete your repair.
Tiller Bearing
PartSelect Number PS9164778
Manufacturer Part Number 931-0374
The flange sleeve bearing, also known just as the bearing, is sold individually, and assists the tine shaft rotation on your tiller by reducing friction between the moving parts and securing their positioning. Because of this function, this part can wear easily and requires regular replacement. This part is OEM, black in color and made of metal.
If the shaft becomes loose within the tiller housing, and you notice noise coming from it, it is likely that you need to replace this bearing. Most customers rated this as a moderately easy repair, which requires a screwdriver, pliers, a socket set, wrench driver, and nutdriver.

This bearing allows the input shaft to rotate freely inside the gear box, and over time can become worn or damaged. You will know your bearing is damaged if it is making a growling, grinding, or squealing sound. This is an easy repair, and requires a bearing puller tool to carry out.
Locate the bearing inside the gear box on each end of the input shaft, ensuring you have confirmed this is the part you need by verifying your model number or using your owners manual.
