The muffler is used to reduce the overall noise-production of a combustion engine and prevent spark output by providing an end cap on the exhaust. This high-quality metal part is sold individually. You will need a wrench to complete replacement.

This is an authentic Briggs & Stratton replacement part that has been sourced from the original manufacturer to be used with generator engines. The spark arrester screen connects to the muffler and is used to prevent embers from being discharged through the exhaust gasses. Over time the screen can become clogged from exhaust discharge and can inhibit the gasses from escaping. This item is available as an individual replacement part.
