You will know you need a new one if there is a leak around the hose where this clip is used to secure it, or if the fuel line detaches.

This washer is used to help evenly distribute pressure from the securing bolt or screw with the cylinder cover, to reduce any effects of vibration from the engine. If the connection between the securing fastener becomes loose, or if you are replacing the fastener itself, it is recommended that you replace this washer as well.

Power Broom Trimmer Fuel Pump Cover Screw This is an original replacement part manufactured for use with outdoor power equipment.
