After power outage dishwasher would not start
The Module is easily replaced by removing the screws that hold the front and back of the door together. I figured the problem would be either the module or the keypad. The problem actually tuned out to be the keypad on the top of the door. The key pad did not have enough room under the counter to vent heat and humidity, so I lowered the d

My d/w just shorted out leaving black residue at the top of the control panel. I’d like to replace the control board but am afraid other issue(s) may have caused it to short out and caused other damage. It’s 13 years old. Should i replace it with a GE profile, gdf650smjes instead?

Hi Phil, Thank you for the question. It sounds like you have an issue with the Control Module,PartSelect Number: PS959238. but you may need to check the control panel Part Number: PS959542 for damage as well. Hope this helps!

Dishwasher has no response at all. Has power to the outlet. Guessing control board or strip?
For model number Pdw9280
Hello Dan,
Thank you for your question. Our sources suggest checking the door latch switch with a multi-meter before assuming it is the electronic control board, because it is more likely to be causing the dishwasher not to run then the control board. We hope this helps.

I have a new keypad but cannot access the functions. The timer and the functions on the keypad will not light up or beep when pressed. Can you help?
For model number PDW9800J00BB
Hello Bob,
Thanks for your question. Check the connections to the keypad to ensure they are intact and not loose. If none of the buttons are working, the main control board (part number PS959238) could be at fault. We would advise testing the board with a multimeter to see if it has electrical continuity and replacing it if it does not show continuity.
I hope this helps.

The power briefly went out the other day, and when it came back on, the dishwasher control panel would not light up or operate. We unplugged and re-plugged in the unit, turn the breaker off and on, and still nothing. It is dead. Wondering where we should start with trying to repair since an appliance repair person came out & charged us, then said there was nothing they can do after simply staring at it for three minutes because of outdated parts. I am having trouble finding part numbers too.
For model number ZBD6890K00II
Hello Shelli, thank you for your inquiry. A tripped circuit breaker is often found to be the cause of your dishwasher not getting power. Because you often can’t tell whether the breaker has tripped, reset the breaker for the dishwasher by shutting it off and turning it back on. Check the dishwasher now to see if it powers up. If your dishwasher’s power cord does not plug into an electrical outlet under the sink, then the power supply is hardwired into the junction box. Check the power cord connections in the junction box. If this does not help, check the wire harness connection between the user interface control and the electronic control board. You will need to inspect a user interface control in the control panel that connects to the electronic control board. If the user interface control wire harness is unplugged, reconnect it. If after that the problem persists, the power surge damaged the main control, part number PS959238, and it will need to be replaced. Please reach out to customer service if you need help placing an order. Glad to be of help!

what is the problem with my dishwasher, when i plug in the outlet 120V, is start keep beeping and the buttons strip has no power, and i tried to changed the second hand circuit board(i bought in ebay), and i try to plug in again but, samething doesn't change its keep beeping, thank you for your good response.
For model number PDW9280J00SS
Hi Stella,
Thank you for your question. If you replaced the electronic control board with a second hand board you found online, it may be defective and it may need replacing, or it was not installed correctly. If the door is not completely shut the dishwasher may beep. If the latch has failed and the door is not shutting completely, then you will need to replace the door latch. You will need to check these parts to see which one is causing the issue. If you have any questions, please let us know. We are open 7 days a week. We look forward to hearing from you!
My dishwasher control panel has no lights but beeps constantly as the power is switched on. Will not stat.

Hello Umesh, thank you for your question. We would recommend checking the keypad and ribbon connector from the keypad to the board for any burns or breaks. The most likely issue is a bad keypad, which is Part #: PS959547. If that is replaced and the issue continues the module control should be replaced. I hope this helps.
