Took off the back cover, unplug it of course, use the flat screwdriver to pop off the cap on the compressor and just unplug the two units detached wires put em on the new units and plug the parts back to compressor, plugged in the fridge to see and it didn't come on so I left it for a day in discussed, came home from work and it was running? Have no idea why it would do that but it's running now and the temperature's are good?

Both doors were left open by accident overnight. Defrosted freezer and when turned on the temps were on target but within a short period of time both refrigerator and freezer began heating up.. don't feel warm air coming from bottom of unit. what could be the likely problem. i ordered , defrost thermo, heater & bracket, and temp senso. not sure if i should order the blower motor as well. what would be the most likely part to fail under the above mentioned circumstances.
Chris Boyle Profile
Hi Louis, thank you for your question. Actually, the parts that you have ordered would be the parts that I would suggest checking. Generally when you are having cooling issues those are the parts that are the issue. Now you could also take a look at your evaporator fan motor as well. Just to check if it is still functioning and has not burned out. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

AFTER MANUAL DEFROSTING AS ICE BUILT UP IN THE FREEZER SECTION, POWER IS ON BUT FRIDGE WON STARY. I HEAR STARTING SOUND THEN CLICKS OFF WITHOUT COMPRESSOR BEING TURNED ON. BEFORE DEFORSTING, FREEZER SECTION NEVER WENT DOWN BELOW 10 F. SET AT 0 F.
Chris Boyle Profile
Hello Henry, thank you for reaching out. We would suggest checking the start relay, part number PS963837. A faulty start relay might be failing to provide the high-current jolt needed to engage the compressor motor. This failure causes the overload protector to trip and shut off power to prevent the compressor from overheating or burning out. You may need to replace it to fix the issue. We hope this solves your problem.

Fridge won't start after power outage
Chris Boyle Profile
Hello Patty, Thank you for your question. If the fridge wont start after a power outage, it is likely that the control board became fried or defective because of the outage, and would need to be tested and possibly replaced. The part number for your control board is under part PS12069099 for your model. We hope this helps!
