Compressor Specifications
This part must be installed by a licensed and trained LG technician that is able to perform a software update, which is required for the installation of this compressor. Part number CJT30000002 is needed to perform the update.
Also, the three pins on the side of the new compressor may be oriented differently than the original. If different, when installing the new compressor the compressor electrical connector must be rotated 45 degrees counter-clockwise.

Fridge was making a humming type noise. Now we notice that the freezer (and maybe the fridge) is not cooling much at all. I've pulled the back and there is a green blinking light in the bottom left hand corner (under a white box). Also quite dusty. Thoughts?
Hello Richard, Thank you for the question. If there is a dust built up this will effect the air flow over the coils and cause the compressor to run longer and harder. This will effect the cooling and temperatures of the appliance. When the green light is flashing this means the appliance isn't at the set temperature. We suggest cleaning the coils and wait 24 hours to see if it corrects the issue. You can also check and clean the Evaporator Fan Motor to make sure it is running normally. If not, the cold air will not circulate properly. We hope this helps!
My refrigerator is reading that it’s at -6 for the freezer and 33 degrees for the refrigerator but both compartments are warm. I’ve run all the basic diagnostics in diagnostics mode and the fans are running, the compressor is running, the coils are clean. And I even took the temperature sensor out and checked it with a multimeter to make sure it was functional and it was. So would replacing the compressor even though it is running be the way to go or would this be more of a control board issue or something else entirely?
