First we removed the knob used to turn on the burner. Then we unscrewed the surrounding black burner label. We could see where the bulb went but had some difficulty getting into the very small space. ... Read moreubber washer on the metal rod on which the knob sat. With a flashlight, I located the bulb and used a pickle plucker (kitchen tool) to get the bulb. This happened several times. The bulb was finally secured in the white bulb recepticle and then pushed up into the its hole in the cooktop. Then we replaced the black burner label and the knob. Success.
Ordered a GE replacement grate TWICE. Both times the grate arrived broken. I paid twice for the grate over a four month period because Part Select takes so long to ship after payment.
