This ice cutting grid is located behind the ice maker door. The cutting grid consists of thin, heated metal wires that slice the slabs of ice when they slide off the evaporator plate, creating the cubes that fall into the ice bin. When the cutting grid is broken or malfunctioning, the slabs of ice could stack, and the ice production cycle stops. Replace your existing cutting grid with this OEM replacement part when you discover that the part is not working properly.
