Hello Matt, Thank you for the question. This sounds like the Control Lock was set and will need to be De-Activated. To turn off Control Lock, press and hold the Options key that says "Control Lock Hold 3 Sec" under it for 3 seconds. If the dishwasher has a dedicated Control Lock button in the Options selections, press and hold CONTROL LOCK for 3 seconds. We hope this helps.

Found rusty broken Razor blades under washer wash plate, so rusty the wash plate could not spin on its own from the basket, it spun with the outer tub. Anyways now i need to remove the #10 hub...is there a special way or tool to remove this part? or will it come off if i unscrew the 4 #7 screws holding the #8 hub on? will the #10 hub come off with the #8 hub?
because i can see through the vent of the washer wash plate another broken rusty blade, plus it makes an awful grinding noise when i spin the tub around.
