why my washer not starting just making noise
For model number WTW5105HC2
Hello Gavin, thank you for reaching out to us. Check the lid lock switch assembly, part number PS17217010. If the lid switch assembly is faulty, the washer will run but will not start any cycle. If the lid switch assembly is working, you will need to check the drive motor, part number PS11770267. Look for grinding or humming noise, a faulty motor will be noisy but will not work. We hope this information helps!

My washer started making noise when the agitator is moving. Kind of a grinding or clicking noise. Everything else works fine. Thank you.
For model number WTW5105HC2
Hi Eric, thank you for reaching out. Check the agitator for any damage first. If it is fine, the drive belt might be defective. Over time, the drive belt can dry or burn out and start to crack, so replacing it would help fix the issue. The part number is PS12578772. We hope this solves your problem!

Noise, grinding sounds. Wash tub stopped turning but motor and cycles kept functioning. Process of elimination, must be the clutch assembly.
Easy, just followed the repair video. Recommend also ordering the drive belt. Bought one locally during my repair.

Tab on door strike got broken off and washer would not operate without it.
Pushed in on door strike and rotated it counterclockwise, removed broken strike and installed new strike. NOTE: when removing the old strike (turning counterclockwise) it felt like it might break and/or was attached with an screw that I didn't see but it came right out.
