Sensing for less 1 sec and does not start up, agitator jammed, no spin and and drain. Unplugged to try reset function that was not successful.

What motor starting capacitor is used on Model WTW4850XQ1 washer?
Washer stopped in middle of cycle. Would not start. After cleaning the machine, it not restart. What is the most likely cause?
Hello Jay, thank you for contacting us. The motor run capacitor for your washer is part number PS11703495. The most likely cause of the mid-cycle shutdown and failure to restart, the lid lock assembly could be failing. The lid lock must send a continuous signal to the control board confirming the lid is secured during agitation and spin. If the lock mechanism or strike fails, the washer stops immediately as a safety precaution and will refuse to restart. If the lid lock looks intact, the main control board may have locked up from a voltage fluctuation during the mid-cycle shutdown. Try a hard reset by unplugging the washer for 5 to 10 minutes then restoring power. If the unit remains completely unresponsive after the reset, the main control board, part number PS4704636, may need to be replaced. Glad to be of assistance!
