This splutch cam kit is a genuine replacement assembly designed for select Whirlpool, Maytag, and affiliated brand washing machines. It plays a critical role in the wash and spin cycles by engaging the drive motor to rotate the washer basket. The kit includes the clutch assembly, cam ring, spring, basket drive gear, pulley, and mounting nut. Replacing this component can resolve issues such as noisy operation, slow or failed spinning, poor agitation, and excessive moisture in clothes after a cycle. In some cases, a burning smell may also indicate a failing clutch. Installation requires basic tools and should be performed with the appliance disconnected from power. Compatibility should be confirmed using your washer’s model number.

Appliance spray paint is a great way to cover up any chips and scratches that have appeared on your appliances. Instead of replacing the part entirely, this is an easy fix. This is also a great way to give a fresh new look to any handles or areas that have discoloring due to wear. Make sure to clean the area before you begin and wear a protective mask for safety. Give the can a good shake and spray a few inches away from the surface. Apply the paint until the area is fully covered as desired. Wait until the paint has dried before using the appliance.

Washer Whirlpool sensor will light up sometimes No water will fill i have done resets.still not fixed issue.
Chris Boyle Profile
Hi Mary, Thank you for writing. We suggest testing the Water Inlet Valve. Set your multitester to the ohms resistance scale X 1. Place each of the meter's probes to one terminal. Because the reading can vary from brand to brand and from model to model, there is no one reading you should receive. However, if your test produces a reading of infinity, then the solenoid is bad and the water valve should be replaced. We hope this helps!

Washer makes a noise and sounds like it’s draining after the cycle. No lights on the control panel illuminate, all it does is drain constantly. I can cancel it and start a cycle but it just drains again afterward.
Chris Boyle Profile
Hi Benjamin, thank you for reaching out. A faulty control board can prevent the control panel lights from turning on and cause continuous draining. You may need to replace it to fix the issue. Its part number is PS16744856. We hope this solves your problem!

This product comes in a bottle with a brush like Liquid Paper. It goes on incredibly easy. A second coat might be needed. I wanted to prevent rust from setting in so I covered the scratches and dings. The paint is a little brighter since my washer is 10 years old but it still looks great.
