You can pry the valve out with an awl. Alternatively you can use a drift punch and mallet. Place the drift punch on top of the check valve seat and gently tap it to loosen and remove it. Remember to blow through the external pulse hole on the body casting and remove the filter screen before proceeding to remove the four screws securing the metering diaphragm plate and the metering diaphragm itself.
