how to get the freezer light cover off to change the bulb?

The clips on the freezer light module broke off a few months ago. We taped it back to the freezer ceiling, and the LED light remained on. It went out after a few months, came back on for an hour or so, and then went out and has not come back on. Hard to imagine an LED bulb burned out after only 2 years. Not sure whether we need a new module, or a new light socket, or possibly a new door switch.

Hi Thomas, thank you for reaching out. Yes, the thermostat knob for your model is part number PS11722462. The knob is typically just a friction fit onto the thermostat's metal shaft. Use your fingers to pull it straight off. If it's stuck, you can gently pry it off with a flathead screwdriver. We hope this information helps!

Removed the fan blade from fan motor,which was press fitted on,then removed fan motor from bracket assembly(make sure and retain the two vibration rubber washers on back and front of motor. Reinstall new motor with vibration washers and press fan blade on new motor. Install in bracket assemble and reassemnble.
I used a flat-head screwdriver to pop out the old light rocker switch. Then, I unplugged the wires, plugged them into the new light rocker switch, and then popped the new switch into the hole. That's it! Lights began working again.

When the new one arrived, I reconnected the lead wires to it, snapped it back into its hole, screwed in a new lightbulb, and presto!! The light was back on with no further problem. Thank you, Partselect!! A $15.00 part saved me what probably would have been at least a $100. service call and heaven knows what the technician would have told me I needed!!!
